Jay Shetty emphasizes throughout his books, posts, videos and podcast how self-love and self-care is not selfish, it is essential for a happy life. As 2025 ends, consider writing a thank you letter to yourself for self-reflection. When I receive a note of thanks it brings me joy that I connected with that person. Since you are the most important person in your life, a self-directed thank you can also bring joy. You can write about an accomplishment, or a service that you did this year, or how you expressed love for yourself through self-care. Even if you do not consider yourself a writer – the idea is not for perfection. Journaling about our lives has been researched to aid in healing. Think, this note is just for me. Finish the year with a small tribute to yourself.
