Renewal Week 5

As this month's focus concludes, we reflect on how to renew ourselves in a constantly changing world.  To begin find a grounded position, feet flat on the floor, hands on your lap facing down. Roll the shoulders up to your ears and back down. Start to notice how you feel, in this position of safety, and stillness. Inhale through your nose for 4 counts, then exhale for 6 to 8 counts.  Slowing down the central nervous system. Stay in this position for a minimum of two minutes, then whenever you are ready come back to this reading.

Ask yourself what you want for yourself this year.  Maybe the answer will appear immediately, or perhaps you will need to let it sit, as you go through the day or even the week. Often, answers arrive when you're focused elsewhere.  When it does, write it down. Stay open to new ways of considering the ordinary occurrences in your life.
