INTRODUCTION TO MINDFULNESS MEDITATION

Two sections will be offered and you may register for either or both – if you register we encourage you to attend each session. 

Section one:  9/28, 10/5, 10/12 and 10/19 from 12:10 - 12:55
Section two: 11/14, 11/21, 11/28 and 12/5 from 12:10 – 12:55

Fee: $40   (Community)

How do you handle your daily stress?

Join us for 4 weeks of guided meditation led by Cynthia O'Connell. Let this be motivation for your daily practice of mindful meditation.

Each 45 minute weekly session will consist of lecture (handouts included), discussion,  guided meditation and mindful movement. 

Mindfulness Meditation can help develop self-awareness and enhance one’s understanding of living in the present moment and achieving greater life balance and emotional health. 

Participants will walk away from this workshop learning: 

  • What mindfulness is and how it can reduce stress, enhance focus and well-being

  • A variety of mindfulness meditation practices

  • Applications of mindfulness in day-to-day living


Cynthia O’Connell is a mindfulness, meditation, and stress reduction educator. She worked as a specialist professor in the Educational Counseling Department at Monmouth University, and as a teacher, coach, school counselor and Director of Counseling Services K-12 in New Jersey for over 30 years. Certifications include Yoga Calm® Trainer, and RYT200 Yoga Instructor. She received training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction at Jefferson-Myrna Brind Integrative Medicine Center in Philadelphia. Cynthia and Jennifer Clearwaters, LPC, have co-authored the book, The Elevation Principles available on Amazon.
